Samuel Ademola Adegoke, is currently a Senior Lecturer at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria and a consultant Pediatrician at the University Teaching Hospital. He was awarded Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (FIOCRUZ) Scholarship by the Brazil National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) for a PhD program in Hematology at the Universidade Federal de Sao Paulo, Brazil in 2014. He is currently working on the influence of hydroxyurea on growth and development; transcranial doppler flow velocity and the levels of some micronutrients in children with sickle cell disease. He has a huge interest in transcranial doppler ultrasonography in SCD, and hope to explore this in his future researches.
