Professor Winifred Nwazulumasu Kaine was born in Onitsha, Anambra State, Nigeria into the family of Late Justice and Mrs Hyacinth Kaine. She is a native of Ndam Village of Osomari in Ogbaru Local Government area of Anambra State.
